Grandview High School senior Kate Veloz gently fluffs a chip shot onto the fourth green at Black Rock Creek Golf Course, in yesterday's CWAC match against Prosser and Quincy. Veloz parred the hole, and went on to win medalist honors by carding a 109 (52-57). Grandview's only other golfer in Wednesday's league match was Yvette Frias. The first-year linkster limped into the clubhouse with her worst round of the year, a 172 (88-84). Quincy, like Grandview, couldn't field a complete four-girl team yesterday, which allowed Prosser to walk away with top team honors. The Mustangs tallied a team score of 555. The Grandview girls golf team will compete at the District tournament next Tuesday, May 13, at Warden's Sage Hills Golf Course.
